The National Trust are to use this image on the relaunch of their new website in the Summer.

Blea Tarn is located on a fellside between Great and Little Langdale in Cumbria’s Lake District. The location gives the illusion of a remote, isolated location but is in fact only a small distance from a road and car park. This photograph is taken from the south shore whose small fence leads the eye into the frame, across the tarn and then onto the magnificent backdrop of the Langdale mountains.

Taken with a Nikon D80 DSLR, Sigma 10-20mm DC HSM lens
