About Me

I live in Worthing West Sussex with my wife Kate and cat Buster. I run Blue Pecan Computer Training during the week and find time for photography whenever time allows. Kate is a very talented portrait artist and paints beautiful family portraits and pet portraits for a living. See her portrait artist blog for work in progress.

My favourite pursuits are walking and photography. The Sussex countryside is beautiful with the rolling hills of the South Downs and beautiful coastal areas particularly around Chichester Harbour and East Head. My favourite place has to be the Lake District though and I try to make at least one visit a year, preferably to Borrowdale or Newlands Valley. A year or so ago Kate and I visited the Rocky Mountains in Canada, did a tour of New Zealand and Tasmania as well as parts of mainland Australia, but I have to say I think that the Lake District just about beats the very best of what we experienced in these other countries. I think we take for granted just how beautiful the British Isles are.

This year we want to explore some of Scotland: the West Coast and Skye. Looking forward to some photographic opportunities there. Hoping to be blown away by the landscapes!!!
